The Book Club gives English language teachers a forum to share and discover new literature for the Steiner/Waldorf Middle and Upper School. Bring the new books you are excited to teach this year in the middle and upper school, and share them with colleagues from our other schools.
Our Book of the Season:
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a bestselling 2003 mystery novel by Mark Haddon. Told from the unique perspective of a neurodivergent teenager, the book became a global phenomenon, selling over 10 million copies and winning prestigious awards such as the Whitbread Book Awards (Book of the Year), the Commonwealth Writers' Prize, and the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize.
We will review and present ideas for using this book as a prescribed text for Upper School English lessons.
